Construction Blockchain Annual Conferences

2020: Blockchain & the Digital Thread

Held at University College London, this year’s conference will build upon the CBC’s 2019 symposium with involvement from leading names in the application of blockchain technology in the built environment.

The conference will feature keynotes and workshops across three days, with keynote sessions on Computational Construction Law and Digital Construction Management. The CBC will be presenting its most recent white paper and invite discussion with experts from across industry and academia.

2019: Digital Trust in the Built Environment

The CBC held its first International Conference on 6th and 7th June 2019. Held in collaboration with the Scientific and Technical Centre for Building (CSTB) in Paris, the symposium brought together leaders in the field of BIM, Distributed Ledgers, Semantic Web and the Internet of Things (IOT) to ask: “How can we make blockchain work to transform the production and operation of Smart Environments?”

Seminars

The CBC's Seminars are strategic, tailored events dealing with topical themes and challenges in the construction industry. The series explores the potential disruption and applications of DLT and blockchain in the built environment. The events bring together leading industry and academic practitioners of the field to share and debate new knowledge.

ABOUT THE CBC EVENTS

The Construction Blockchain Consortium was established to develop knowledge transfer, arrange commercial and academic presentations, assess and test commercial services and technology, conduct research, and drive policy, regulation and understanding of the consequences of Blockchain and other emerging technologies in the Built Environment. The CBC is led by the UCL Department of Computer Science and The UCL Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment. We also investigate the development of open source tools on behalf of the industry and encourage application developers to build proprietary technology and services to deliver sustainable construction solutions.
